SUPPORTING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

YOUNG FARMERS REGIONAL BOOTH CAMP 2025

Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC), through its 4-H Club delegates, actively participated in the Young Farmers Regional Boot Camp held from April 23 to 25, 2025, at Tarlac Agricultural University in Camiling, Tarlac. Anchored on the theme, “HARVEST through 4-H Milestone: Harnessing Agricultural Resilience through Vision, Education, Sustainability and Technology,” the event gathered young agricultural leaders and innovators from across the region to enhance their knowledge, skills, and leadership capabilities in advancing sustainable agriculture.

Representing BASC with pride and enthusiasm, the delegates engaged in various activities and learning opportunities designed to strengthen agricultural resilience, innovation, and youth empowerment. The boot camp served as a platform for participants to exchange ideas, develop leadership skills, and gain valuable insights into modern agricultural practices and sustainable development.

Among the BASC delegates, Marie Katherine Palar participated in the On-the-Spot Photography Contest, showcasing creativity and artistic talent in capturing agricultural themes and experiences. Meanwhile, the Agri Innovation Pitching Team composed of Jeremy Denzell Pedroso, Mary Jane Tiñia, and Jhon Aldrin Magtira demonstrated their innovative thinking and commitment to agricultural advancement by presenting ideas aimed at addressing challenges and opportunities within the agricultural sector.

The delegation was guided and supported by their advisers, Mr. Ryan P. Ceniza and Denvir E. Godoy, together with 4-H Coordinator Jho Sambrano and San Ildefonso 4-H President Nicks Garcia. Their mentorship and encouragement contributed to the successful participation of the BASC delegates throughout the event.

Overall, BASC’s participation in the Young Farmers Regional Boot Camp 2025 highlighted the institution’s commitment to developing future agricultural leaders and innovators. The experience provided participants with valuable learning opportunities, strengthened their appreciation for sustainable agriculture, and inspired them to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the agricultural sector and their respective communities.
