The Soil Tiller, the official student publication of Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC), achieved four awards at the 20th Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) held from April 2 to 4, 2025 at Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel in Lucban, Quezon. The event gathered more than 1,000 delegates representing 152 higher education institutions from Luzon and the Visayas, with the theme “PRESS PLAY: Campus Journalists as Game Changers in the Digital Revolution.”

The publication’s magazine entry, DAMARA, received 5th Best DevComm Page, while its tabloid was recognized as 10th Best Feature/Literary Page. Individual achievements were also earned by Andrei Pamintuan, who placed 8th in Layouting, and Chronica Villaseñor, who secured 9th place in Editorial Writing – Filipino.

Adding to the region’s accomplishments, Central Luzon ranked 2nd Overall in both individual and group categories and was recognized as the 2nd Overall Best Performing Region, highlighting the strong performance and contributions of campus journalists across the region.
