BOCAUE, BULACAN – The BASC project management team of DOST-PCAARRD-funded project, “Expanding the Women-Led Chemical Pesticide-Free Integrated Backyard Farming in Bulacan” in collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office of LGU-Bocaue, Bulacan distributed farm inputs to the 20 women farmer beneficiaries in Bocaue, Bulacan earlier today, March 5, 2025.
Each of the 20 women beneficiaries received six female and one male free-range chicken, with a half sack of feeds as their starter kit for their poultry production. The egg incubator and hatcher with a 500-egg hatching capacity was also delivered to the farmer leader, which will serve as common service equipment that will cater to the needs of the women’s group.
This initiative aims to empower women farmers by promoting sustainable, chemical pesticide-free farming, contributing to food security and economic opportunities in the community.
