BASC WITH UNMAS VERMICOMPOST PRODUCTION VISIT &
AGRI-ECOTOURISM AT JOYFUL FARM GARDEN
On August 20, 2025, Bulacan Agricultural State College, in partnership with UNMAS, visited Joyful Farm Garden to learn about vermicompost production and experience agri-ecotourism.
Students and faculty observed firsthand how organic waste can be transformed into nutrient-rich compost using worms, enhancing soil fertility and promoting sustainable farming practices. The activity also introduced participants to eco-friendly farming techniques and the potential of agri-ecotourism as a livelihood opportunity.
Through this immersive experience, the visit highlighted the importance of sustainable resource management, environmental stewardship, and partnerships between educational institutions and local farms in promoting climate-smart agriculture.
