The Association of Geodetic Engineering Students (AGES) proudly represented the institution at the National Geodetic Engineering Summit and Geodetic Engineering Student Conference 2025, held on May 9–10, 2025, at the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City. The event gathered geodetic engineering students, educators, researchers, and professionals from across the country, providing a venue for academic exchange, technical competitions, research presentations, and professional development.
The BASC delegation demonstrated excellence and competence across various competitions and academic activities. A notable achievement was the championship victory in the Instrument Setup (Total Station) Competition, where Lynndon Michael Charls C. Reyes secured the top position under the guidance of Coach Engr. Diana Rose G. Jimenez. The institution also performed well in the GE Ka Na Ba? National GE Quiz Show, with Princess Ellaine V. Duran, James Russel S. Beltran, and Felipe Gerald G. Herrera achieving Rank 4.5 under the mentorship of Engr. Kristine R. De Guzman.
In the Map Making Contest, Steven Claude R. Galvez, Glenn Brylle C. Bongala, and Jica G. Domingo advanced as Top 5 Finalists, showcasing their technical and analytical skills under the guidance of Engr. Paulo V. Ambrocio. Meanwhile, Demie Loraine DC. Adriano and Rochelle E. De Jesus actively participated in the Research Colloquium, presenting scholarly work and contributing to academic discussions in the field. The institution was also represented in the Levelling Competition by Nichol John F. Campos, Bherian Jeck S. Valimento, Andrei L. Ramos, and Khella L. Soliman, under the supervision of Engr. John Michael L. Dayao.
The successful participation of AGES in the national conference reflected the students’ dedication, technical competence, and commitment to academic excellence. Their achievements brought pride and recognition to the university while highlighting the quality of education and training provided by the Geodetic Engineering Department. The event also strengthened professional networks and exposed students to current trends, innovations, and best practices in the geodetic engineering profession.
The organization likewise expressed its gratitude to the Geodetic Engineering Department, the Federation of Student Supreme Council (FSSC), the College of Engineering and Technology Student Council (CETSC), the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), and the College Administration for their support, which contributed significantly to the success of the delegation’s participation. Overall, the event served as an enriching experience that enhanced students’ professional growth, technical skills, and commitment to excellence in the field of geodetic engineering.
