On May 9, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., the BASC–Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT) Campus successfully conducted a Fire and Earthquake Drill Seminar to strengthen disaster preparedness and emergency response among students, faculty, and staff. The seminar was facilitated by SFO2 Lorenzo L. Lucero and FO1 Gilmar Omac, who shared practical knowledge and life-saving strategies for responding effectively during fire and earthquake emergencies.
The seminar emphasized the importance of disaster risk reduction, emergency preparedness, and safety awareness through informative discussions and demonstrations. Participants learned proper evacuation procedures, emergency response techniques, and safety protocols that can help minimize risks and protect lives during disasters. The activity encouraged the BASC community to transform awareness into action by fostering a culture of preparedness, resilience, and shared responsibility.
Through this initiative, the institution reaffirmed its commitment to providing a safe learning environment while equipping the academic community with essential skills to respond confidently and effectively during emergencies.
