SUPPORTING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

BASC HORTICULTURE SOCIETY CLEAN-UP DRIVE

The BASC Horticulture Society Clean-Up Drive, conducted on January 17, 2025, was a campus-wide environmental initiative organized under the guidance of the Federation of Supreme Student Councils (FSSC) and the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine Student Council (CAVMSC), in collaboration with the BASC Horticulture Society and various student organizations. Held in preparation for the reopening of classes and the start of the second semester, the activity aimed to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of the university grounds, ensuring a healthy and conducive environment for learning.

The clean-up drive mobilized student volunteers to work collectively in cleaning campus facilities and surrounding areas, demonstrating environmental responsibility, teamwork, and civic engagement. The initiative encouraged students to take an active role in preserving the university’s physical environment while reinforcing the importance of proper waste management, environmental stewardship, and shared responsibility in maintaining a sustainable campus. Through collective participation, the activity strengthened unity among student organizations and promoted a culture of volunteerism and sustainability.
