“EXPANDING THE WOMEN-LED CHEMICAL PESTICIDE-FREE INTEGRATED BACKYARD FARMING IN BULACAN” JANUARY 30, 2025
The project management team of the BASC’s DOST-PCAARRD-funded extension project, “Expanding the Women-Led Chemical Pesticide-Free Integrated Backyard Farming in Bulacan,” has conducted a series of site validations and orientations for project beneficiaries and Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) personnel.
On January 30, 2025, project leader Dr. Imee D. Esguerra, along with Dr. Imelda S.A. Navarro, Mr. Denvir Godoy, Mr. Rodelio T. Alejo, and Ms. Ashlee M. Viagedor, personally validated the proposed project sites of women farmers in Baliwag City and Pulilan, Bulacan.
The visits aimed to assess each of their backyard farm areas to see if they are suitable for the project and if they qualify in the project selection criteria. The project team provided feedback and guidance to the beneficiaries on how they can develop their backyard into productive integrated backyard farms. This will ensure the successful implementation of the sustainable backyard farming initiative.
