BASC – ASSIST YABONG: SOIL HEALTH AND WATER QUALITY TRAINING

AND FIELD TRAINING FOR FARMERS

The Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) conducted the ASSIST YABONG: Soil Health and Water Quality Training and Field Training for Farmers on January 9, 2025, in Malolos, Bulacan, as part of its continuing efforts to promote sustainable and environmentally responsible agricultural practices.

The activity equipped local farmers with practical knowledge and hands-on training on improving soil health and maintaining water quality to support higher crop productivity and long-term farm sustainability. Through interactive lectures and field demonstrations, participants learned effective soil management techniques, proper nutrient application, and water conservation strategies.

The training also served as a venue for experience-sharing between BASC experts and farmers, strengthening community partnerships and enhancing farmers’ capacity to adopt science-based and environmentally sound farming practices. This initiative reflects BASC’s commitment to advancing food security, environmental protection, and inclusive rural development.
