AND FIELD TRAINING FOR FARMERS
The Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) conducted the ASSIST YABONG: Soil Health and Water Quality Training and Field Training for Farmers on January 21, 2025, in Norzagaray, Bulacan, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen sustainable agricultural practices in local farming communities.
The activity provided farmers with hands-on training and practical discussions on improving soil health and maintaining water quality to enhance crop productivity and environmental protection. Participants learned essential techniques in soil management, nutrient balance, and water conservation to promote long-term farm sustainability.
Through field demonstrations and knowledge-sharing sessions, the training empowered farmers with science-based approaches to address common agricultural challenges. The program also fostered collaboration between BASC experts and local farmers, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to food security, environmental stewardship, and community-based agricultural development.
