BASC OJT STUDENTS HONORED AT BUKLOD 2025 FOR PIONEERING LRMDS PORTAL

On June 13, 2025, Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC), represented by Institute of Computer Studies (ICS) Dean Prof. Michelle M. Cortez, received recognition during the Baliwaghenyos Unite for Knowledge, Learning Opportunities, and Dialogue (BUKLOD) 2025 held at the Baliwag City Star Arena for its partnership with the Schools Division of the City of Baliwag and the outstanding contributions of its five Bachelor of Science in Information Technology students in developing D-ACCESS, an innovative Learning Resources Management and Development System (LRMDS) portal. Developed during their on-the-job training under the supervision of Mr. Dave F. Macalinao and with the assistance of Mr. Florentino S. Casuco, Jr., the platform provides teachers across the division with convenient access to, sharing, and management of lessons, modules, and other digital learning materials. The five student developers—Joseph Dominic B. Arenas, Jerome C. Mempin, Marlon M. Baro, John Patrick Dr. Garlan, and John Patrick D. Flores—were recognized for their technical expertise and contributions to multimedia design, front-end development, back-end infrastructure, database development, and user interface design. The initiative demonstrates how digital innovation and practical industry experience can improve educational resource accessibility, strengthen students’ employability, and support the effective delivery of teaching and learning materials. BASC’s recognition at BUKLOD 2025 highlights the value of collaboration between higher education institutions and government agencies in advancing educational innovation, developing young talent, and providing technology solutions for public service.
