CLIMATE SMART AGRICULTURE PROJECT WINS BEST PAPER IN IRICEEA 2023
In the recently concluded 1st International Research and Innovation Conference on Education, Engineering, and Agriculture (IRICEEA 2023) held at Bacnotan, La Union on December 4 to 6, Dr. Leonora C. Sta. Ana presented her paper titled “Climate-Smart Agriculture: Assessment of Adoption in Selected Provinces of Central Luzon” under Socio-Economics, Technology Promotion, and Community Development Cluster which won the Best Paper Award in Agriculture Category. The CSA project was a DA-RFO 3 funded project with Dr. Sta Ana serving as the Project Leader with her project staff consisting of Ms. Maria Krisvie Abigale F. Mendoza, Ms. Jennifer I. Guevarra, Engr. Anthony C. Ortega, and Mx. Amerigo B. Ramos, Jr.
Two other BASC faculty researchers who participated and presented their papers were Ms. Christine V. Grimaldo with her paper titled “Student Mother’s Needs, Challenges and Coping Strategies: Basis for Intervention Program” under Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Cluster of Education Category and Ms. Norelline S. Gabas with her paper titled “Digital Self: Investigation on the Online Social Behavior of Students”under Community and Cultural Studies Cluster of Education Category. The conference was organized by Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMSU) with a theme of Strengthening Research and Innovation Ecosystem through Education, Engineering, and Agriculture Interface.
