The Community Health and Sustainability: Rabies Awareness, Urban Gardening, and Organic Fertilizer program, conducted on March 24, 2025 at Fortunato F. Halili National Agricultural School, successfully promoted community empowerment through an integrated approach to public health, environmental sustainability, and agricultural education. The activity brought together participants for a series of educational lectures that emphasized responsible pet ownership and rabies prevention, sustainable food production through urban gardening, and environmentally friendly farming practices using organic fertilizers.
The rabies awareness session strengthened community knowledge on disease prevention, animal welfare, and public health, helping participants understand the importance of responsible pet care and timely vaccination. Meanwhile, the urban gardening and organic fertilizer discussions equipped attendees with practical skills to establish productive gardens, improve household food security, and adopt sustainable agricultural practices that minimize environmental impacts. These learning activities encouraged individuals to become active contributors to healthier communities and greener living environments.
