SUPPORTING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

COOL LEARNING SPACES PROJECT

The Cool Learning Spaces Project, implemented on April 12, 2025, was an initiative of the Institute of Engineering and Applied Technology Student Council (IEATSC) aimed at improving the learning environment for students by donating 34 electric fans to classrooms within the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) and the Institute of Computer Studies (ICS). Through this project, every classroom within the institute was equipped with an electric fan, addressing the challenges posed by high temperatures and creating a more comfortable and conducive space for teaching and learning.

Recognizing that a supportive physical environment plays a vital role in academic success, the initiative sought to enhance students’ comfort, concentration, and overall well-being during classes. The project demonstrated the student council’s commitment to promoting learner-centered facilities and improving campus infrastructure through responsive and sustainable student-led initiatives. By investing in classroom improvements, the council reinforced the importance of creating inclusive learning spaces that support both academic performance and student welfare.
