“EXPANDING THE WOMEN-LED CHEMICAL PESTICIDE-FREE INTEGRATED BACKYARD FARMING IN BULACAN” MARCH 20, 2025

𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗪𝗔𝗚 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬, 𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗡 – The BASC project management team of DOST-PCAARRD-funded project, “Expanding the Women-led Chemical Pesticide-Free Integrated Backyard Farming in Bulacan” in collaboration with the LGU of Brgy. Calantipay and City Agriculture Office of LGU-Baliwag City, Bulacan distributed farm inputs to the 20 women farmer beneficiaries who are members of Lakas ng Kababaihan para sa Calantipay earlier today, March 20, 2025.

Each of the 20 women beneficiaries received tomato, eggplant, hot pepper, finger pepper, lemon grass, madre de agua, papaya seedlings and organic fertilizer for their vegetable production component of their chemical-pesticide-free integrated backyard garden that they will establish in their respective areas.

This initiative aims to empower women farmers by promoting sustainable, chemical pesticide-free farming, contributing to food security and economic opportunities in the community.
