GENDER ANALYSIS OF DATA (GAD) SESSIONS

In the research entitled “Demystifying Sex-Disaggregated Data (SDD): A Basis for a Gender-Responsive Institution,” SDD is found to be vital for Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) to achieve gender responsiveness. It facilitates informed decision-making, identifies disparities, tailors interventions, and monitors progress. It aligns with legal mandates, enhances reputation, and improves student experiences and employees. BASC can design inclusive programs, plan strategically, and foster a culture of equality. SDD empowers BASC to allocate resources effectively, comply with gender laws, and cultivate an environment where all genders thrive harmoniously. This training, GAD Sessions, was facilitated based on the findings from the research above.
Objectives:
The training served as a strategy to fully establish and strengthen the institutional mechanisms for the SDD and GAD database.
Specifically, it aimed to achieve the following objectives:
• Appreciate the government and agency’s policies on generating data support for GAD mainstreaming.
• Demonstrate understanding of the crucial role of establishing and maintaining SDD collection and utilization.
• Apply gender analysis to sample gender statistics generated by select offices of the SUC.
• Review current intake and administrative forms against the established gender indicators of the SUC.
Craft ways to improve intake and administrative forms to facilitate better collection, utilization, and dissemination of gender statistics at the office and University levels based on established gender indicators of the SUC.
