The Venerable Knight Veterinarians Fraternity and Venerable Lady Veterinarians Sorority, Upsilon Chapter, in partnership with the BASC Institute of Veterinary Medicine, conducted an educational seminar on March 28, 2025, at the BASC Farmer’s Training Center. The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of future veterinarians and local farmers in ruminant and small dairy production.
The seminar featured experts who shared practical knowledge on the challenges and opportunities within the dairy and small-ruminant sectors. Dr. Jaime Lopez, Consultant of the National Dairy Authority, discussed concerns involving small dairy farm stakeholders, while Dr. Noel Soliman, City Veterinarian of Tarlac, shared expertise on small-ruminant production.
The activity brought together 2nd to 5th year Veterinary Medicine students and farmers, providing them with relevant knowledge and insights that can contribute to improved livestock production, sustainable farming practices, and stronger agricultural livelihoods.
