A hands-on training titled “Maximizing Your Backyard: Practical Tips for Profitable Vertical Gardening & Edible Landscaping” was conducted by the extension project team of “Uplifting the Livelihood of BASC Students’ Families through Urban Gardening” at Sta. Catalina Bata, San Ildefonso, Bulacan on on June 25, 2024. Attendees are 30 farmer partners from San Ildefonso, San Miguel and San Rafael, Bulacan.

The training aims to provide the target beneficiaries with the knowledge necessary for the establishment of vertical gardening and edible landscaping.

A ceremonial MOA signing was also executed between the BASC project team and the Municipal Agriculture Office of the Local Government Unit of San Ildefonso, Bulacan which was represented by Mr. Victorio C. Joson, Jr., Municipal Agriculturist I together with the project cooperator, Brgy. Chairman Celestino M. Mananguit, Brgy. Chairman of Sta. Catalina Bata, San Ildefonso Bulacan to bind their partnership for the conduct of this extension project.
