The Skills Enhancement Training, conducted on March 20, 2025, was spearheaded by the Future Hotel and Restaurant Managers Society (FHRMS) to prepare first-year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students for their upcoming Housekeeping Training. The program served as a comprehensive learning experience that strengthened students’ technical competencies and professional readiness through specialized sessions on Traditional and Duvet Bed Making Procedures, Valet Service, and Oral Questioning. The training was facilitated with the guidance and expertise of faculty members, program administrators, and hospitality professionals, ensuring that participants received quality instruction aligned with industry standards.
The event provided students with valuable hands-on learning opportunities while reinforcing the knowledge, skills, and work ethics expected in the hospitality industry. Beyond technical instruction, the activity cultivated professionalism, confidence, teamwork, communication, and service excellence—essential competencies for future hospitality practitioners. The active participation of third-year BSHM students in food preparation, logistics, and event management also promoted peer learning, mentorship, and collaborative leadership within the college.
