GOAL 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

     Bulacan Agricultural State University (BASC), as a higher education institution committed to sustainable development, endeavors to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 12, which seeks to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. BASC recognizes the urgency of adopting sustainable practices to promote resource efficiency, reduce waste generation, and minimize environmental impact. To advance SDG 12, the university has implemented various initiatives, including the promotion of sustainable procurement and advocating waste reduction and recycling.  BASC prioritizes the procurement of eco-friendly products and services, reducing the consumption of non-renewable resources, and minimizing environmental impact.  The university has implemented comprehensive waste management programs, including waste segregation and recycling initiatives. It encourages the use of recycled materials and indigenous materials in its various programs and activities. These programs aim to reduce waste generation and divert waste from landfills. These efforts contribute to achieving a sustainable future for the Bulacan and the Philippines.
